Area Information: Moab, Utah
Overview: As you enter the town of Moab coasting down the main boulevard, glance out your window to the east, your eyes are greeted by a horizon decorated with the jagged peaks of the La Sals in the distance. Looking to the west, sheer rust and red hued cliffs loom nearby, beckoning you to abandon the motorized contraption you are currently occupying and bust out the bicycle. Boasting world renowned mountain bike riding, Moab does not disappoint. Sheer cliffs, raw and exposed, frequently speckled with jutting rocks are but one of the many terrain options offered. Make sure to get the wheels turning on the uncommon ground of the city's petrified sand dunes, the famous Slickrock Trail. Amidst constant challenges to test strength, endurance and determination, riders are continually rewarded with sweeping 360 degree panoramas that will snatch what little breath you have left, away. Amongst other treasured spoils of this popular town, depictions of a rich cultural history long past can be found in the form of rock art adorning the terrain of many of Moab's recreational areas.
